Ferrari made sure they were the mane attraction at a safari park in South Africa this week — by unveiling their 458 Speciale beside two LIONS.
The car made its debut in the country at the Bobbejaansberg Nature Reserve among the local pride of big cats.
Ferrari said the car “did not roar as loudly as it could” in order not to put the kings of the savannah to shame.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale is the firm’s highest performance V8 in history. It can do 0-62mph in under 3.0 seconds with a top speed of over 201mph.
The Speciale has increased engine output over the standard 458, producing 597hp at 9,000rpm and 398 lb/ft of torque. The aerodynamics were perfected in cooperation with italian design house Pininfarina, providing second-to-none performance at the height of performance.
The Ferrari 458 Speciale was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2013.
